NEW: Added a Genealogy Folder to the Photo Galleries . When I get back home I will set up a Holt site proper once I find a genealogy database that is user friendly and doesn't look archaic.
October :Searches are happening in Leicester at the Records Office for John and Ann birth info.
Brian Drescher from English-Roots.com is also doing research in Nottingham as well as some preliminary photography of 1800 residences from census records if still existing in Loughborough.
Hopefully he will become my "middle man" as to date I have very little success with local assistance APART from Council departments.
While there are dozens of websites around to help in the search for family ancestors I have found this one to be VERY useful with a forum that can be name or location specific to help you trace your British family history. It is called British-Genealogy.com

As you know this is extremely time consuming and if you let it , expensive.
I have found a lot of information on the web and heaps about other levels (branches) but initially wish to stay on the male Holt Hoult line.
Note: Anything new added from this original edit will be in Blue text to make it easier but dont use any of this information until it appears on the new Holt family history website please.
For people into genealogy you soon realise information and "dates" are not written in "stone" ! Even headstones and some "researchers" seem to throw unconfirmed or incorrect data on their sites willy nilly
Looks like I may have found an excuse to go to the Chelsea Flower Show via Pinfold Gate and the Midlands .(Or the 100th Isle of Man TT maybe)

2ND John Vine Holt born (1931-1994) and Cecelia Merle Woods born (19??-19??) He has 2 brothers and 3 sisters . Muriel Annie ,Sydney John ,Irene Elsie, Nellie and George Sylvester. Note: Dont get this George Sylvester Holt confused with a person of the same name that married Evelines (Grandmas) younger sister
3RDJohn Vine Holt born Kilmore VIC (1879-1969) and Eveline Myrtle Oliver born Bainsdale (1892-1962). He has 3 brothers and 2 sisters. Prudence Ann (About 1876 - 9 Oct 1939),Maria Louisa (Feb 1878 - 1944),Charles William (Billy) (1881 - 1886) and Henry Herbert (Harry) (4 Apr 1884 3 Jul 1958) and George Sylvester (1886-??) who married Elsie Agnes Oliver (Grandmas younger sister) in Bainsdale 1923.

It loooks like John had an older sister Eliza HOULT (15 Feb 1852 - 1853) who died ? and another sister also called Eliza (born 1856-?? in Kalkallo Vic).Sydney George born (1886-) Warrugal.

John HOULT (About 1824 not1821 - 1902) & Eliza (Jane Parker) SUTTON (2 May 1830 - 24 Aug 1903)
Arrival in colony - 31 Jul 1852 at Hobsons Bay, on "Garland" Married 5 Apr 1850 in Loughborough England.
1841 UK census John has 1 sister.Yes you now have 3 Eliza Hoults after 1850 ,one in UK ,two in AU , one deceased . Eliza , his spouse has 2 brothers Thomas and George and parents Samuel and Sarah both born in 1791.

John HOULT(about1796-) & Ann VINE (about1795-) And this is maybe ? where the VINE comes from and we are now late 1700s in Leichestershire UK I think ?
SUCCESS!! The lived at No 22 Pinfold Gate Loughborough in Leichestershire at the 1851 census .The ages listed v names confirms . It seems John Jnr and his wife Eliza (from London) where living with Mum and Dad prior to their emigration to AU in 1852 (see above).Other members of the house where Eliza (1835-) , Hugo(1837-), James (1832-) ,Samuel Walter (abt 1828) and William (1827-). Both Johns where labourers and the girls including mother worked in the cotton mills. I have cross ref this with a later census and found John Snr and ANN in their 70s still living at the same address without kids ! and still working . John is now a gardener after being a Sexton as well (Hmmm?) 2 of the kids stayed close by living in Sparrow Hill and Baxter Gate with Hugo being around in the 1891/1901 census married to another Ann, ( Elizabeth) with heaps of kids including a daughter Eliza (another one ) still living at home at 39 years , a brother James also at home at 30 and Sarah 25 as well .Very unusual for 3 of the 4 eldest to still be at home . They appear in the 1881 and 1891 census as well and looks like they never left home or married ? WHY
William who was born in Stanford ( the only child that was) married another ANN from Hathern and where living in Sparrow Hill in 1861 but then "disappear" until 1891 census living in 8 Albert Court aged 64 and 51 looking after their "nephew Joseph Black aged 13 ".
Yes there at least 3 Ann Hoults living within a few 100 yards of each other in the mid to late 1800s. I can understand why people get lost or deviate with written records if you dont stay focused .It would be much easier if I could access these original census and parish records myself. A couple of weeks or so living in country pubs chasing the family history around the Midlands wouldn't be too hard to handle.
OTHER information that I cant follow up on until I confirm birth and marriage for John and Ann but there is a pattern that at least one son in each family and often the eldest was named John.New Data
